Patty Q’s Jewelry Anti-Fraud Verification Procedure

At Patty Q’s Jewelry, maintaining the highest level of integrity and protection for our customers and business is a top priority. We take fraud prevention seriously and have strict protocols in place to ensure that all transactions are verified and secure. Failure by the customer to respond within 24 hours or to comply with verification requests may result in automatic order cancellation to protect both the customer and our business from potential fraudulent activity.

Orders Requiring Verification

To protect both our customers and our business, any order over $300.00 or orders that have been flagged by Shopify’s security system will go through an additional verification step.

For these flagged orders, customers will be contacted via email (customerservice@pattyqsjewelry.com) and asked to complete our standard identity verification procedure.This may include submitting:

A clear photo of yourself holding your valid ID in frame
A photo confirming the card used to make the transaction, showing that the name matches the order

Once verified, you will receive a confirmation email, and your order will proceed to fulfillment.

Why Your Order Might Be Flagged

Shopify’s security system may flag an order for several reasons, including but not limited to:

Mismatch between billing and shipping addresses.
Use of multiple cards or failed payment attempts.
Suspicious or unusually large orders compared to typical purchasing patterns.
High-risk location or IP address activity.
Use of a temporary, unverifiable, or international phone number or email.

These flags are automatic and do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing. These characteristics help us ensure that the cardholder and the buyer are the same person.

How to Avoid Your Order Being Flagged

To help ensure smooth and speedy processing of your order:

Ensure your shipping and billing addresses match
Avoid using VPNs or public Wi-Fi during checkout
Ensure your contact information (email and phone number) is accurate and verifiable
